Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

The Independent School of Jakarta is in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. Our Campus reflects our desire to provide a quiet, welcoming space for children to explore, and the facilities to support a world class independent school education. The campus features a football pitch, a swimming pool, and multiple classrooms on site. The setting is leafy and green, contributing to a calm learning environment.

Sports Facilities

ISJ offers 20+ sports in PE and clubs. Regular swimming lessons in our on-site pool ensure that all pupils become confident, capable swimmers. Specialist teachers lead sessions in gymnastics, athletics, football, badminton, and dance. The Co-Curricular Programme includes over 30 clubs per term and Talent Trails across five areas: Active Trail, Creative Trail, STEM & Strategy Trail, and Communication & Culture Trail. Pupils participate in House competitions and inter-school fixtures, developing teamwork and sportsmanship.

Extra-Curricular Activities

ISJ runs a Co-Curricular Programme with 30+ clubs per term. Talent Trails provide structure across four strands: Active Trail (sport, swimming, gymnastics, movement), Creative Trail (art, music, drama, design), STEM & Strategy Trail (coding, chess, robotics, science), and Communication & Culture Trail (Mandarin, debating, journalism, languages). Specialist clubs include gymnastics, bouldering at IndoClimb Kemang, K-Pop dance, and competitive swimming squads. The programme also includes trips and experiences that connect classroom learning to the wider world, and older pupils participate in residential trips.
