Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

BDC School operates across several campuses in the Milan metropolitan area, including Fontanili 1, Fontanili 3, Pietrasanta and Cologno Monzese, serving students from early years through high school. The campuses blend tradition with modernity and feature high-quality teaching spaces equipped with the latest technology, as well as dedicated STEM facilities. An IMCD STEM Lab is located within BDC School and is used by students from kindergarten to secondary school. The Pietrasanta campus offers a state-of-the-art nursery with spaces filled with natural light and an indoor swimming pool, plus indoor play areas to support exploration and creativity. Welcoming common areas and a canteen support community, well-being and collaboration across campuses.

Sports Facilities

The Pietrasanta campus features an indoor swimming pool, designed to promote physical well-being from a young age. Fontanili 3 provides a large outdoor play area for younger children, supporting outdoor activity and recreation. The Summer Camp program includes football with the AC Milan Academy Elite Experience, illustrating the schools' engagement with sports. The Rimini Camp offers sports, sun and sea as part of its activities, expanding sport-related opportunities beyond Milan. Campus designs emphasize spaces for physical education and active learning as part of the broader curriculum.

Academic Facilities

STEM education is central, with the STEM Lab at Cologno Monzese described as a heart of the educational offering, dedicated to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. High school facilities across Fontanili 1 and Fontanili 3 include modern classrooms integrated with the latest technology to support innovative learning. Fontanili 1 highlights state-of-the-art teaching facilities and a STEM lab designed to encourage experimentation and problem-solving. The IMCD STEM Lab, inaugurated in October 2022, serves students from kindergarten to secondary school, reinforcing cross-age STEM work. The Pietrasanta nursery emphasizes spaces designed for growth and learning in a nurturing environment with natural light and play-based elements.

Extra-Curricular Activities

After-school activities extend learning beyond class hours with options in sport, art, music and robotics. The Summer Camp program offers creative, class-based and sports activities, with language certifications available for older participants through Cambridge Assessment English. Field trips to museums, historic sites, cultural institutions and local businesses enrich the curriculum outside the classroom. The PTA fosters parental involvement, and the Student Council provides a forum for student representation in school life. Events and shows, including concerts, art exhibitions, science fairs and plays, contribute to a vibrant, collaborative community.
