Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Founded in 2013, BDC School is an international bilingual school. The BDC School has three campuses in the Milan metropolitan area serving over 600 students aged 0 to 18 from 35 countries. The campuses are in Milan (Via dei Fontanili 1 and 3; Via Pietrasanta 14), Cologno Monzese (Via A. Volta 16), and Meda (Scuola San Giuseppe, Via Orsini 35). A Rimini campus, the International School of Rimini (Via Santa Chiara 40), is also part of the BDC network.

Community

BDC School maintains an active community life with a PTA that promotes collaboration between parents and teachers to support and improve the student experience. Through regular PTA meetings, events and initiatives, parents have the opportunity to participate actively in school life. The school life framework includes After School programs, a Student Council, and regular school trips and events that engage families. The IMCD STEM Lab was inaugurated in October 2022 and is used by students across age groups. A School Bus service is available to help families with transportation.

Parent-Teacher Association

The PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) promotes collaboration between parents and teachers to support and improve the student experience. Through regular meetings, events and initiatives, the PTA offers parents the opportunity to participate actively in school life. The PTA contributes to the well-being of students and the school community. After School activities involve families as part of the school community. The Student Council represents student interests and works with teachers on projects to promote inclusive, vibrant school life. Regular events and trips are part of school life, encouraging family engagement.

BDC School is an international bilingual network with campuses in Milan, Cologno Monzese, Meda and Rimini, serving over 600 students aged 0–18 from 35 countries. The school delivers continuous education from early years through high school in a bilingual framework that combines the Italian curriculum with Cambridge International programs. In Early Years, IEYC is taught with English immersion. Primary follows the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum alongside the Italian national syllabus, with technology integration and active participation. Middle School blends Italian and English with the Cambridge International Curriculum. High School offers a four-year pathway with IGCSEs in the first two years and A Levels in the final two, including study of Italian language and Made in Italy project-based learning. Facilities include the IMCD STEM Lab and a Cologno Monzese STEM Lab; the Pietrasanta nursery benefits from natural light and an indoor pool. Extracurriculars span sport, arts and robotics; Summer Camp features football with the AC Milan Academy Elite Experience; partnerships with Centro Umanamente ONLUS.
