Registration begins at 08:30; the school day finishes at 15:00; there is a morning recess and a lunch break; school lunch is obligatory in Italy; external caterers provide a healthy varied menu and can meet dietary requirements.
School bus service is available; both ways €2700; one way €1800 (VAT applies).
Application / Enrolment fees
- Enrolment fee (K–6): EUR 850 (non-refundable).
- Re‑registration fee for the following academic year: EUR 450. This re‑registration fee will be deducted from the first term's fees only if paid before the school's deadline and if all yearly fees have been settled by the end of May.
Tuition fees by year group (annual and per‑term amounts)
- Early Years (Kinder & Transition): EUR 6,800 per year. Lunch service is included. Per term (3 equal instalments): EUR 2,266.67.
- Elementary (Classes 1–6): EUR 8,200 per year. Lunch service is included. Per term (3 equal instalments): EUR 2,733.33.
- Italian lessons for State Exams (from Class 2): EUR 1,200 (annual).
- Italian State Exam fee: EUR 100 (per candidate).
- After School Homework Programme (available Class 1–6; Monday–Thursday 3:15–4:15pm): EUR 1,100 (annual).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- School fees are payable in three equal instalments on the first school day of September, December and April. New children must pay the first school term fee instalment together with the enrolment fee. Enrolment fee and the first school term fee are not refundable.
- Those who wish to pay by bank transfer may request the school's bank details; all fees must be paid net of any banking, transfer or other commissions and charges.
- Any balance overdue by more than 15 days from the date of the statement of account will be assessed a penalty charge of 1% per month. If a student's fees remain unpaid 30 days after the statement has been sent, the school reserves the right to suspend the student until full payment is made.
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not offered. The school provides day education for children aged 3–11 and operates a day schedule.
Other costs and fees
- School bus service (subject to VAT surcharge on the bus fee): Both ways EUR 2,700; One way EUR 1,800. A 50% discount on transport fees for the Both Ways service is available for the third child.
- Family discounts on tuition fees only: EUR 240 per annum discount for a second child; EUR 495 per annum discount for a third and subsequent children.
- Lunch service is included in the published tuition for Early Years and Elementary.
- Any extracurricular activity fees (including after‑school activities beyond the Homework Programme) are charged separately and vary by year and programme; the After School Homework Programme has a stated fee (see above).
Refund information
- The enrolment fee and the first school term fee are non‑refundable.
- The re‑registration fee may be offset against the first term's fees only under the school's stated conditions (paid before the stated deadline and with all yearly fees settled by the end of May).

Britannia International School of Rome is a private international primary school serving children aged 3 to 11 in southern Rome. The school teaches English-based education under the National Curriculum for England and Wales, guided by a team of qualified English mother-tongue teachers. The Early Years Foundation Stage (ages 3–5) covers Kindergarten and Transition with six areas of learning: Personal Social and Emotional Development; Communication, Language and Literacy; Mathematical Development; Knowledge and Understanding of the World; Creative Development; and Physical Development, all delivered in a happy English-language environment. The Primary School (ages 5–11, Key Stages 1 and 2) offers English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Computing, Art, Drama, Music, Design Technology and PE, with optional Italian language programme up to five hours weekly for native Italian speakers. Britannia was founded in 1987. After-school activities include sports on a football pitch, arts and music sessions, and a homework programme guided by English-speaking tutors.
