Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

Continuity across the years includes a Philosophy Lab, theatre in English, and writing-augmentation tracks to ensure a coherent progression of learning. The international RSHM network strengthens the school experience by offering projects and events that promote international openness, personal growth, and active participation in school life both inside and outside the campus. In Secondary I Grade, students participate in Leadership Group, Festival delle Arti RSHM, Model United Nations (MUN) RSHM, International Sports Festival RSHM, and Coro Stabile.

Arts and Creative

Each year, around 25 students from the II and III classes participate in the Festival delle Arti promoted by the RSHM Network, hosted in rotation between London, Paris, and Rome. Selection is based on a motivational letter, conduct, and academic performance. During the Festival, students take part in creative workshops led by professional artists, exploring acting, singing, dancing, and the visual arts. Coro Stabile is a choral program guided by a Vocal Coach and Art Director, introducing students to choir singing through vocal exercises, rhythm work, repertoire, and lyric analysis.

Cultural and Language

As part of the international RSHM network, open international experiences and events promote cultural exchange and broaden horizons, with collaboration among Marymount schools in London, Paris, and Rome. Model United Nations develops English language proficiency and provides opportunities to debate global issues with peers from Marymount schools across Europe. The international activities create immersive, cross-cultural experiences that foster expression and confidence in language use.

Social and Hobbies

Leadership Group elects 24 students each year to join the Leadership Group, becoming representatives, promoting charitable initiatives, organizing fundraising campaigns, and helping set up the two annual dances. The group participates in the international Leadership event with Marymount peers in a major European city, building teamwork and project-management skills. The experience develops responsibility, initiative, and the ability to design and implement activities with awareness and determination.

Community and Service

The Leadership Group spearheads charitable initiatives and fundraising campaigns, promoting solidarity and service within the Marymount community. Members organize community service activities and contribute to social responsibility projects. Participation in leadership and service activities reinforces a commitment to giving back to the community and to working with others toward common goals.

Leadership and Professional

The Leadership Group is an annual election in which 24 students assume active roles in school life. They represent the student body, promote charitable initiatives, organize fundraising, and contribute to two evening dances. They participate in the international Leadership event with Marymount peers to develop leadership, initiative, and project-management skills.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The International Sports Festival brings together 20 Class III students for international tournaments in football, volleyball, and basketball. The event emphasizes sport as a platform for teamwork, cultural exchange, and shared values such as respect, loyalty, and collaboration. Sport fosters personal challenge, team building, and cross-cultural understanding.

Istituto Marymount Roma offers a bilingual educational journey for students aged 3 to 19, rooted in the values of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Operating from its historic campus on Via Nomentana, the school integrates the Italian national curriculum with the Cambridge International pathway. Students benefit from native English-speaking instructors across all levels, working toward certifications such as IGCSEs and A-Levels. The high school division, located nearby on Via Livorno, provides specialized tracks in Classical and Scientific studies, including Double Diploma options. A standout feature is the school's active participation in the Global Network of RSHM Schools. This connection allows students to join the annual "Festival delle Arti," an international tradition where pupils from London, Paris, and Rome collaborate in professional workshops spanning acting, dance, and music. This initiative fosters cross-cultural friendships and artistic growth, making the school a vibrant hub for students seeking a local education with a broad international outlook.
