Marymount Roma welcomes students from diverse cultures and religions in an inclusive, person-centered environment. The education is anchored in the values of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) and aims to develop every student's potential. The school prepares students to become responsible leaders who promote justice and peace in a multicultural, transforming world. It engages in Avanguardie Educative, integrating innovative, dynamic, and inclusive teaching approaches with traditional methods to strengthen critical thinking, argumentation, collaboration, and communication. The bilingual Italian–English identity and the Global Network of RSHM Schools enrich learning through international exchanges, collaboration, and exposure to global perspectives.
English is taught as a first language from the first year of Scuola dell'Infanzia, supported by native-speaking teachers. English is integrated across the curriculum, with Cambridge certifications (Starters, Movers, Flyers) pursued at the primary level. By Scuola Secondaria di I Grado, English is used for some disciplines in the Cambridge International Schools model, and in Liceo about half the subjects are taught in English in the first two years and about 35% in the final year. The model adapts to each level, ensuring English remains a core vehicle for learning and international engagement.
An Anti-bullying Commission oversees prevention and response to bullying, including a psychologist among its members. A whistleblowing process and external reporting channels are in place for incidents of discrimination or gender-based violence. The school provides health services via an infirmary to administer medications as needed.
Gender equality is a policy priority, with certification (UNI/PdR 125:2022) and a dedicated Gender Equality Commission. There are formal channels for reporting discrimination or violence (Segnala) and a formal Procedura Whistleblowing. The Anti-bullying Commission and safeguarding procedures apply across all school levels, and health services (infirmary) support student safety and wellbeing.
Istituto Marymount Roma offers a bilingual educational journey for students aged 3 to 19, rooted in the values of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Operating from its historic campus on Via Nomentana, the school integrates the Italian national curriculum with the Cambridge International pathway. Students benefit from native English-speaking instructors across all levels, working toward certifications such as IGCSEs and A-Levels. The high school division, located nearby on Via Livorno, provides specialized tracks in Classical and Scientific studies, including Double Diploma options. A standout feature is the school's active participation in the Global Network of RSHM Schools. This connection allows students to join the annual "Festival delle Arti," an international tradition where pupils from London, Paris, and Rome collaborate in professional workshops spanning acting, dance, and music. This initiative fosters cross-cultural friendships and artistic growth, making the school a vibrant hub for students seeking a local education with a broad international outlook.
