Facilities Overview

LAAS is housed in an independent, modern glass structure about four kilometers east of the center of Brescia. The primary facility covers 4,600 square meters and includes eco-friendly features, Early Years classrooms, an art room, a reading area, a dining area and a heated indoor play hall with interactive whiteboards. Elementary classrooms have interactive whiteboards and tablet technology from Grade 4 onward, and include a music conservatory, an art studio, a science laboratory and Italian/Latin and Mandarin Chinese language spaces. The Middle School extends by about 2,300 square meters, with studio-style classrooms, robotics and science labs, a newsroom and an indoor gymnasium, plus an exterior patio and enclosed green park. The campus also houses a two-story learning library, a 187-seat theatre, a spacious lunchroom and a fully outfitted American-style gymnasium, along with a winter garden for indoor play (K-6).

Sports Facilities

Fully equipped American-style gymnasium supports physical education and sports. An additional indoor gymnasium provides space for daily physical activity. Outdoor spaces include a patio and an enclosed green park for team sports and recreation. The winter garden provides an indoor play area for younger students during colder months.

Academic Facilities

Classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, and tablet technology is used for students in Grades 4 and above. The Primary School includes a music conservatory, an art studio and a science laboratory, plus Italian/Latin and Mandarin Chinese language spaces. The Middle School extension provides robotics and science labs, a newsroom and flexible studio-style classrooms. A two-story learning library and a 187-seat theatre support academic and cultural activities.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Music conservatory, art studio and a 187-seat theatre provide spaces for performing and visual arts outside class time. Robotics and science labs support hands-on STEM activities after school. The winter garden and indoor play spaces support physical education and active clubs during the winter. Outdoor spaces including a patio and enclosed green park enable outdoor games and clubs.

Lonati Anglo-American School (LAAS) is an Anglo-American day school in Brescia, Italy, serving ages 2–18. The language of instruction is English; Italian is taught, and a third language (Chinese or Spanish) is promoted in Primary, with Spanish in Middle School. LAAS offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–12 with inquiry-based units across subjects, guided by six transdisciplinary themes and the IB Learner Profile.
