Academic and Intellectual

Cambridge English language courses are available to all students. They are optional once a week from October to May, with a final exam in late May or early June. YLE (ages 7–12), KET, PET and FCE CEFR certificates are available through these courses. 100% of Cambridge exam participants passed the final exam in 2023–24, and many exceeded the target level. The Primary curriculum follows both the international (WASC-aligned) program and the Italian MIUR curriculum, supporting bilingual academic development.

Cultural and Language

TMIS hosts students from more than 25 nationalities, mostly related to the NATO JFC Naples base. The school runs a bilingual English–Italian program, with core subjects taught in both languages. ISL/ESL courses provide customized support to improve English and Italian and to promote full classroom integration. The Mission & Vision commit to parallel teaching in two languages to develop bilingual proficiency.

Social and Hobbies

Extracurricular activities are carried out to encourage socialization and group work. Field trips are regularly organized as part of Life at TMIS. Seasonal events such as Halloween (2025) and Christmas activities are part of school life, and Graduation events highlight student achievement. The middle school emphasizes activities that foster collaboration and social development alongside the 40-hour weekly schedule.

Leadership and Professional

The Mission & Vision state that TMIS develops globally-minded, critical thinkers who are college-career ready. The school guarantees bilingual education to develop language proficiency, aligning with its leadership toward higher education and professional paths. Cambridge exam success demonstrates readiness for higher study and future opportunities. The combination of bilingual instruction, international curriculum, and strong assessment results supports preparation for college and careers.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Physical education is a core part of the weekly schedule in both Elementary and Middle School, promoting a healthy lifestyle. The curriculum emphasizes regular physical activity and well-being through sport and movement. Field trips and outdoor activities contribute to students' well-being and real-world learning. The program supports an active, balanced lifestyle as part of Life at TMIS.
