Celebrating over 50 years of education, The New School Rome follows an enhanced British curriculum taught in English by UK-trained teachers. It is a not-for-profit independent school serving students aged 3–18, with small class sizes. The school is a member of the Council of British International Schools. It reports strong academic results and graduates go on to prestigious universities around the world.
From age 5 Italian is taught as a native language or beginner language by three specialist teachers. An after-school Italian booster session for Years 4–9 complements the day-time lessons and mirrors the Italian state system, focusing on language, history, culture and literature. In Year 13, students can follow a corso integrativo leading to a maturita certificate, enabling entry to Italian universities, with exams supervised by the Italian Ministry of Education.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is available to students in Years 10–13 and includes four sections: Skills, Physical Recreation, Service and Adventurous Journey. At Gold level there is an additional Residential Project. Students participate in charity events around Rome, including work with Oxfam, Save the Children and the Astalli Foundation, and frequently initiate activities to learn new skills and help others.

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award empowers young people to learn new skills, overcome obstacles, and build confidence and resilience. The New School Rome is a private, not-for-profit international day school serving students aged 3–18. It delivers the English National Curriculum across Foundation Stage, Primary, and Secondary, with a pathway through Cambridge IGCSE, Pearson Edexcel IGCSE, and Cambridge A Levels. The school is affiliated with COBIS, Cambridge International, and Pearson Edexcel and is a member of the Rome International Schools Association. Class sizes are small to support individual attention.
