Little Explorers Foundation Stage is a nature-based learning centre for children aged 3 to 5 years. It focuses on the human connection to the natural world. The indoor environment uses natural materials and open spaces to foster curiosity and creativity. Outdoor learning is supported by an outdoor classroom, a forest fire circle, and a nearby nature reserve park for immersive experiences. The school follows the Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework. The environment supports social and emotional development through a holistic approach to learning.
Every week, Primary students travel to a local sports centre for gymnastics and dance coaching. Weekly lessons with class teachers take place on the school site to cover sports and outdoor and adventurous activities. The Spring Football Tournament is held every March to unite the NSR community with other international schools.
Music, Singing & Drama are taught by specialist teachers with weekly Drama, Music and Singing lessons in the primary. Peripatetic instrument lessons are available during and after the school day, including piano, guitar, drums, percussion and violin. Italian is taught as a modern foreign language starting in Year 1. The school offers Events, Trips & Guest Speakers to enrich the curriculum, including a residential trip for Years 1–6 to develop independence, teamwork and leadership.
