Fees
Application and enrolment fees
- Registration fee (new student): €1,500, payable per new student at enrolment.
- Capital Assessment fee: €3,200, payable once per family.
- Advance fee to secure a place for the following academic year: €1,000 per student; payable by 30 December and deducted from the fees for the following academic year.
Annual maintenance charge (per family)
- One child enrolled: €750 annually.
- Two children enrolled: €1,000 annually.
- Three children enrolled: €1,250 annually.
- Four children enrolled: €1,500 annually. The annual maintenance charge is payable on 30 June each year (from existing families) and from the second year of attendance for new families.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Standard three-instalment schedule: three instalments paid in full by 30 June, 30 December and 30 March (or the next business day).
- Alternative payment plans and adjustments:
- Annual payment: paid in full by 30 June with a 1% discount on tuition fees (discount applicable only to private clients).
- Five instalments: payments due 30 June, 30 September, 30 November, 30 January and 30 March (1.5% increase on the total owed).
- Ten instalments: payments by the 30th of each month from June to March inclusive (3% increase on the total owed).
- Financial rules and penalties: fees paid 15 or more calendar days after the due date are subject to a penalty of 0.033% per calendar day. Attendance is conditional upon payment of all fees due; unpaid accounts 30 calendar days after due dates will be referred for Executive Council review and continued enrolment will be assessed. Termly fees are due in full for students who begin attending within the first five weeks of any term; students starting in the sixth week or later have fees calculated pro rata. A full term's written notice is necessary before withdrawing a child; otherwise a full term's fees will be due. There is no refund for lunch cancelled during a term. Registration, capital assessment and deposits are due on enrolment and must be settled within one month of being offered a place.
Advance/Deposit, refunds and withdrawal
- The €1,000 advance fee secures a place and is deducted from the following year's fees (must be paid by 30 December).
- A full term's written notice is required before withdrawal; absence of such notice makes a full term's fees payable. There is no refund for lunch cancelled during a term. Late-payment penalties and potential suspension of enrolment apply for overdue accounts as described above.
Boarding fees
- The New School Rome operates as a day school; boarding provision and boarding fees are not applicable.
Other costs and optional services
- Lunch (mandatory annual cost): €1,350 per year. There is no refund for lunch cancelled during a term.
- Transport (optional): organized door-to-door by Todde Bus SRL (contact details supplied for the transport provider). Transport is contracted separately and billed through the transport operator.
- Trips and residentials: educational trips and summer-term residencies form part of the curriculum and may incur additional charges specific to each trip or residency.

Notes on instalment schedules and discounts
- The school offers a choice between the standard three-instalment schedule and alternative annual, five-instalment or ten-instalment plans; the annual payment carries a small discount for private clients, while more frequent instalment plans incur a small surcharge as stated above.
