Uniform Requirement

UIS has a formal uniform policy. ECC wears a white polo shirt with charcoal trousers in Spring/Summer or a white long-sleeve polo with trousers in Autumn/Winter, with an optional IES piquet dress. Primary through to High School wear a white polo (short-sleeve in summer, long-sleeve in winter) with charcoal trousers or tartan skirt for girls, plus a blue IES sweater or blazer and a UIS cap; PE kit is required and non-uniform days have specific rules.

Food Options

The school has a modern kitchen where a hot and nutritious lunch is prepared daily.

House System

The Houses are Lynx (Blue), Hawks (Yellow) and Bears (Red). Pupils are allocated to a House on admission; Houses have Leaders, Captains and a points system that leads to an annual House Cup.

Governance and Ownership

The Udine International School is part of the SEK International Institution and operates within the SEK/IES network. The school was acquired by SEK in 2017 and runs as UIS under the SEK partnership.

Udine International School (UIS) on Istituto Tomadini campus serves 250 students aged 2 to 17. The curriculum blends Indian elements with bespoke components in a bilingual framework. English instruction begins in Early Childhood, with a multilingual environment. The Early Childhood Centre is taught entirely in English; the Elementary program combines national and international subjects, with Italian taught under MIUR guidelines and Mathematics taught with Singapore Math. Middle School offers core subjects and foreign languages in French, German or Spanish, while Grade 8 prepares for Cambridge ESOL B2 First Certificate. High School launched in 2022 is five years, taught in English, preparing for Italian or international university access; the diploma is recognized by Italian law. Diplomas are issued by the International School of Trieste within SEK, with InterSEK programs and exchanges. Facilities include a Science Lab, Art Room, Library, auditorium, gym and indoor pool, plus an Early Childhood Centre. Clubs include Cooking Club, Mindful Art Club, and Choir.
