The Udine International School uses state-of-the-art technology, including interactive whiteboards, iPads in classrooms, robotics and programming materials, and the IXL online learning platform. The school emphasizes project-based learning, international exchanges, and extracurricular activities to develop students' academic and global competencies. The High School program is entirely taught in English and prepares students for access to universities in Italy or abroad. As part of the SEK International Institution, UIS offers an internationally recognized curriculum that emphasizes cultural diversity and global citizenship.
The Main Building includes an Art Room, and the campus provides space for theatre performances in the auditorium. UIS Clubs include Mindful Art Club and Choir, led by Maestro Denis Monte. The Mindful Art Club blends yoga-inspired movement, mindfulness and art to nurture well-being and creativity. Cooking Club offers culinary activities and world cuisines.
Bilingual instruction starts from Kindergarten. The school prepares students for Cambridge ESOL B2 First Certificate (English), DELE A2 (Spanish) and German A2 exams. InterSEK Cultural activities and international programs provide opportunities for cross-cultural experiences across SEK schools. The Library offers books and DVDs in English, Italian, Spanish and German.
UIS Clubs include Cooking Club, Mindful Art Club, Choir, and Extended Time Activities. These clubs foster curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and global awareness beyond the classroom. Extended Time provides structured after-school activities that support continued learning and social development.
The Udine International School sponsors charity campaigns and fundraising events to support local and international causes, including the Maman Paola clinic in the Republic of Congo, Project for People in India, Associazione Luca in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Telethon. Fundraising activities include bake sales, non-uniform days, Christmas crafts sales, student walkathons and food drives. This work helps students develop empathy and understanding and a sense of social responsibility.
Mindful Art Club provides a calming space to relax and express creativity through yoga-inspired movement, mindfulness and art. Extended Time Activities offer structured after-school care and activities to support social development in a calm setting. The campus features an auditorium, gymnasium, swimming pool and gardens, and access to Istituto Tomadini facilities for after-school sports.
Udine International School (UIS) on Istituto Tomadini campus serves 250 students aged 2 to 17. The curriculum blends Indian elements with bespoke components in a bilingual framework. English instruction begins in Early Childhood, with a multilingual environment. The Early Childhood Centre is taught entirely in English; the Elementary program combines national and international subjects, with Italian taught under MIUR guidelines and Mathematics taught with Singapore Math. Middle School offers core subjects and foreign languages in French, German or Spanish, while Grade 8 prepares for Cambridge ESOL B2 First Certificate. High School launched in 2022 is five years, taught in English, preparing for Italian or international university access; the diploma is recognized by Italian law. Diplomas are issued by the International School of Trieste within SEK, with InterSEK programs and exchanges. Facilities include a Science Lab, Art Room, Library, auditorium, gym and indoor pool, plus an Early Childhood Centre. Clubs include Cooking Club, Mindful Art Club, and Choir.
