English is the language of instruction in the High School program and Cambridge ESOL B2 First Certificate may be taken at the end of Middle School (Grade 8). Italian is taught as a core subject across Elementary, Middle and High School following MIUR guidelines. Spanish and German are core foreign languages in Middle School, with end-of-Grade-8 certification options: German KID A2 and Spanish DELE A2; French is listed as a foreign language option. Italian as a Second Language (ISL) supports students with little or no Italian, with the first year covered by the school and subsequent years at the family's expense if continued.
Bilingual from Kindergarten. The school is a multilingual environment which fosters an international perspective through embracing diversity and placing value on integrity. Multilingualism provides educational, cognitive and sociocultural benefits for students who achieve fluency in more than one language.
Real Madrid Clinic offers a one-week immersive experience in Madrid, Spain. International Programs provide opportunities for exchange study programs in the UK and USA, along with other global cultural and sporting activities such as InterSEK and Cultural programs. SEK activities emphasize interrelation and cultural exchange and take place at the headquarters of one of the SEK schools.
Udine International School (UIS) on Istituto Tomadini campus serves 250 students aged 2 to 17. The curriculum blends Indian elements with bespoke components in a bilingual framework. English instruction begins in Early Childhood, with a multilingual environment. The Early Childhood Centre is taught entirely in English; the Elementary program combines national and international subjects, with Italian taught under MIUR guidelines and Mathematics taught with Singapore Math. Middle School offers core subjects and foreign languages in French, German or Spanish, while Grade 8 prepares for Cambridge ESOL B2 First Certificate. High School launched in 2022 is five years, taught in English, preparing for Italian or international university access; the diploma is recognized by Italian law. Diplomas are issued by the International School of Trieste within SEK, with InterSEK programs and exchanges.
