Canadian Academy offers a broad range of co-curricular activities that emphasize academic enrichment. Elementary and Middle School After-School Clubs run daily from 3:30 pm to 4:25 pm with three terms per year, and there is a cost to join. Club options include Robotics, Board Games, Latin Dance, Ikebana, Fitness Fun, and more. High School clubs meet during and after school, led collaboratively by teachers and students, usually across the full academic year; examples include Model United Nations, Business Club, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Publications, and Service Club activities.
Canadian Academy offers a comprehensive Arts program featuring Visual Arts, Music, and Drama. The program focuses on developing craft and expression while supporting students' emotional and social well-being. Students engage in projects and performances as part of the arts experience.
CA integrates Japanese culture into the learning experience. Japanese language lessons are offered in Elementary and Secondary at all skill levels, designed to build practical language skills. The school provides field trips across Japan, seasonal celebrations, and access to books in a Japanese-language library to deepen cultural understanding. After-school clubs include Ikebana and the tea ceremony, reflecting strong engagement with Japanese traditions.

Service learning is a core part of Canadian Academy's mission. The program emphasizes student-initiated, meaningful service with ongoing support and reflection. Service activities include Animal Rescue Kansai (ARK), Annual Clothes Drive, CASA (CA Service for the Arts), support for Child Chemo House, Eco Club, LGBTQ+ (GSA) Group, Soup Kitchen, Student Body Council, Shinseijuku Orphanage, URCA, and more.
Leadership development is supported through student governance and internationally oriented activities. The Student Body Council (SBC) provides student leadership opportunities, and Model United Nations fosters collaboration and communication skills. High School students also engage in APAC-related travel and competitions that involve leadership and teamwork across international schools.
Wellbeing is supported through a broad athletics program across elementary, middle, and high school. The no-cut policy invites broad participation in sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, badminton, cross country, and touch rugby, with on-campus facilities including a full-sized soccer pitch, a smaller field, two gymnasia, and tennis courts. The Athletics program operates in four seasons each year, and students may travel to compete in events like APAC. An Outdoor Education Program for Grade 6–12 focuses on teamwork and personal growth, complemented by school trips and travel opportunities.
Canadian Academy is a PreK–Grade 12 international day and boarding school in Kobe, Japan. THe school was founded in 1913 and is located on Rokko Island. The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum from Pre-K through Grade 12, including the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes. Early Childhood includes programmes for 3 and 4-year-olds, with literacy and numeracy introduced in age-appropriate ways, as well as specialist classes that can include Japanese. Beyond classes, students can join activities such as Robotics Club, Model United Nations, science clubs and publications, alongside service clubs. For boarding, the school describes a programme for about 40 high school students from over 20 countries, studying in English while living in Japan.
