Language Provision

English is used in instruction across CGK's Kannai and Bashamichi campuses. The Bashamichi Campus page lists ENGLISH and JAPANESE on its campus information, indicating English-language instruction alongside Japanese. All students receive daily Japanese education. Japanese language instruction is organized into JLL (Japanese Language and Literature) and JAL (Japanese as Acquisition Language) classes. JLL follows the standard Japanese national curriculum (MEXT); JAL uses original teaching materials to support language acquisition and expression. Both JLL and JAL classes run daily for all grades and are integrated with the IB framework.

Bilingual Teaching

The Bashamichi Campus operates with English and Japanese language streams, reflecting a bilingual environment for age 2-3 students. All CGK students receive daily Japanese language education as part of the school's Japanese program. There are two Japanese language tracks: Japanese Language and Literature (JLL) for native-level Japanese and Japanese as Acquisition Language (JAL) for non-native speakers. Each track provides language-specific instruction and content, with one class per day for JLL and JAL across all grades.
