Since opening in 2016, CGK International School has grown into a community of students, families, teachers, and partners dedicated to high‑quality care and education. The CGK Community partners with local businesses and organizations to offer hands‑on experiences and mutual development, including Park Day, Italian Restaurant Visit, and numerous collaborative activities. The community organizes events and programs such as the School Festival, IB Info Sessions, Saturday School, and donation campaigns, with active involvement from CGK Student's Families and International Families. English and Japanese LINE channels connect families to CGK updates and opportunities for involvement.
There is no formal PTA at CGK; parent involvement is organized through the CGK Community framework. Parent groups include CGK Student's Families and International Families, which coordinate family engagement and collaboration with local businesses and organizations. Families participate in events such as School Festival, Park Day, Italian Restaurant Visit, Parents' Social, Social Night, and IB Info Sessions. Parents contribute through special lessons by parents, field trips to partner companies and shops, and seminars/workshops, coordinated with CGK's community team. Communication with families is facilitated by LINE official accounts in English and Japanese, and public events and community initiatives are listed on the CGK Community page, with networks like Yokohama International Family supporting broader engagement.
