Billing schedule and payment terms

- Standard tuition payment schedule (Tokyo campus):
- First payment (1/3) due April 30, 2025.
- Second payment (2/3) due July 31, 2025.
- Third payment (3/3) due December 31, 2025.
- Payment plan examples: For ¥600,000 annual tuition the three installments are ¥200,000 each; for ¥1,200,000 annual tuition the three installments are ¥400,000 each.
- Late payments may accrue a penalty. In cases of serious delinquency, a student may be suspended from class and official records (grades, transfer certificates, and other official attendance records) may be withheld until accounts are cleared.

Refunds and withdrawal terms

- Refund policy: School Tuition, Registration Fee, and Bus Fee refunds will not be honored at any time.
- Withdrawals: One-month notice is required for school withdrawals for any reason. If a one-month notice is not given, a one-month fee of ¥60,000 will be charged. Bus withdrawals also require one-month notice; failure to give notice will result in being charged for the full month. Students will not be permitted to take exams until payments for that period are made in full.

- Payments can be made by direct bank deposit to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), Marunouchi Branch (245). Account number: 1008024. Account type: TOZA (current/checking). Beneficiary listed as Bank of India, Tokyo Branch. Parents/Payors should include “IISJ Tokyo” and the student's name/grade next to the remitter's name on the transfer and send proof of remittance by email to iisjtokyo@iisjapan.com after payment.

Boarding fees

- No boarding fees are listed for the Tokyo campus; the published fee schedule treats the school as day school with additional bus fees where required.

Notes on enforcement of fees

- The school enforces payment deadlines, may assess late penalties, may suspend students for serious delinquency, and can withhold official records until outstanding fees are paid in full. A one-month notice requirement applies to withdrawals and bus cancellations.

India International School in Japan (IISJ) was established in 2004 and provides education from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school follows the Indian Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, with students sitting for CBSE Board Examinations in Grades 10 and 12. IISJ also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for senior secondary students and publishes IB programme information on its website. The Tokyo campus relocated to a new building in spring 2023, which includes physics and chemistry laboratories, a library, a cafeteria, a gymnasium and a soccer field. Instruction is delivered in English, and additional languages taught as subjects include Japanese, Hindi, Tamil, French, and Nepali. IISJ provides a school bus service in Tokyo. After-school activities listed by the school include Model United Nations, STEM Club, Student Council and sports such as basketball and cricket.
