History

Foundation date is July 30, 2012, and the school is operated by Limited Liability Company WIP. Minami Matsumoto Campus opened in 2012; ISN Elementary opened in 2015 and became an IB Candidate School; ISN was accredited as an IB PYP school in 2017. Shimauchi Campus opened in 2018; Nagano Campus opened in 2019 and the Middle School opened as a Free School. From 2020 to 2024, ISN expanded with additional campuses (Gojo, Nakano, Ueda, Saku Kirihara) and attained government daycare certifications and special curriculum recognitions; Nakano Campus opened in 2024 and Saku Kirihara Campus opened; Gojo Middle School opened.

Community

ISN operates five campuses throughout Nagano Prefecture. ISN uses regional resources and collaborates with the local community to create learning experiences beyond textbooks and classrooms. The school hosts events such as ISN Christmas Craft & Info Session and ISN Sydney Study Tour, reflecting its family-facing community engagement. A new Saku Kirihara Campus opened in 2026, with a pre-opening ceremony held February 21, 2026, and a bus route expansion announced to Miyota Station to improve accessibility.
