English is the language of instruction in most core classes; Japanese language lessons are provided through ECAP (2:00–3:00 PM on weekdays) as language support. English classes are level-based (Reading and Speaking). After-school and summer English programs support language development and aim for high proficiency, including targets near Eiken level 2 by the end of elementary school and level Pre-1 by graduation. The curriculum also covers mathematics, science, social studies, physical education and music, with a strong emphasis on language development and communication. Low student-to-teacher ratios support individualized attention.

Learning Tree International School in Tokyo operates Prekinder through Middle School across campuses: Kiba and Tsukishima. It offers an American curriculum with a pathway to the IB Diploma Programme.
