Academic and Intellectual

After-school enrichment expands the day with a variety of extracurricular activities and international exchanges. Activities are offered by Linden Hall teachers and external instructors, with some sessions charging an additional fee. The program includes homework time and exchanges with Oxford University students who assist with homework and join in sports, and offerings include Guitar, Drums, Art, After-school English, After-school Japanese, and private or group lessons in Piano, Violin, Soccer, Basketball, Hip-Hop Dance, and Programming.

Arts and Creative

After-school offerings include Guitar, Drums, and Art. Students can take private Piano and Violin lessons, and participate in group sessions in Soccer, Basketball, Hip-Hop Dance, and Programming.

Cultural and Language

Linden Hall Elementary provides six years of English Immersion Education to develop English skills in an English-language environment, and Japanese Culture (Moral Education) to help students experience Japanese culture and develop identity and character to become global citizens. England Study Tour to Oxford University for Grade 6, Homestay programs with Beaconhills College in Australia, Online Classes with sister schools including Iolani School (Hawaii) and Beaconhills, and Afterschool exchanges with Oxford University further broaden international exposure.

Social and Hobbies

The After School program includes Free Play such as chess, and a range of supervised activities like Guitar, Drums, Art, After-school English, and After-school Japanese, plus group lessons in Soccer, Basketball, Hip-Hop Dance, and Programming.

Community and Service

High School offers extensive overseas study and volunteer opportunities and is a Round Square member, connecting Linden Hall with international conferences and exchanges. England/Overseas programs, plus online and in-person exchange activities, expand global engagement for students. The school participates in overseas study, volunteer experiences, and international projects through Round Square and partner arrangements.

Leadership and Professional

From the first year of high school, Linden Hall High School offers IB or TI courses. College Counselling is provided to guide university paths. The school maintains overseas study and volunteer opportunities and joined Round Square in 2018, reinforcing a commitment to leadership and service. These elements are complemented by IB/TI curricula and a wide range of international programs.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The Elementary Dormitory sits adjacent to campus, with meals prepared in the school cafeteria from organic ingredients and a focus on health. Organic school lunches and Shokuiku (nutrition education) are integrated into daily life, with students involved in composting and garden activities. A structured daily rhythm for boarders runs from early morning routines (wake-up at 06:30) through after-school activities, dinner, homework, and bedtime, with safety and emergency protocols in place.

Linden Hall School in Fukuoka operates two campuses to serve students from 6 to 18: Elementary at Gojo, Dazaifu City, and Junior and Senior High at Futsukaichi-kita, Chikushino City. It is a day school with on-campus dormitory facilities. The Elementary program provides six years of English-immersion education, with most classes taught in English; Japanese language and moral education are taught in Japanese. The programme follows the MEXT Ichijou-Kou curriculum and is designated a Specially Exempt School. The High School offers an IB Diploma Programme and TI Course; Linden Hall was recognised as an IB World School on 4 October 2013. College counselling, overseas study opportunities, and international exchanges are provided. Facilities include glass-walled Elementary building, on-campus athletic fields and rice paddies, a dormitory, and a High School with a computer room and library. Extracurriculars span music, sport, and programming, with Round Square membership supporting leadership and service through international exchanges.
