NUCB International College opened in September 2022 on the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business campus in Nisshin, Aichi. It was established by Kurimoto Educational Institution (KEI) in partnership with NUCB to provide an international high school education delivered in English within a boarding environment. NIC was approved by Aichi Prefecture as an Article 1 school and was accredited by MEXT to offer both the Japanese high school diploma and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP); it was designated an IB World School on December 12, 2022. The school held its inaugural completion ceremony on June 30, 2023, marking the end of its first academic year, and planned to begin its second year in September 2023 with a cohort drawn from about 20 countries.
NIC is a full-boarding IB World School hosting students from Japan and abroad, with English as the language of instruction for most subjects. The International House provides a multicultural living environment with House Supervisors and counselors to support daily life and wellbeing. Campus life includes events such as a student festival, the Engage Programme, and a College Anthem that foster cross-cultural community and leadership development. The school emphasizes small classes and a multinational faculty to promote interaction and personal growth within a diverse student body.
NIC does not publish a stand-alone Parent-Teacher Association in public materials; parent involvement is described through NIC's For Parents resources and family-support programs. The For Parents section outlines Well-Being and Recreational Programmes, with House Supervisors providing daily life support and individual counseling for students. Parents participate in NIC life by attending major events such as the inaugural completion ceremony (June 30, 2023) and by engaging in admissions information sessions and Open Campus events that connect families with the admissions team. The school maintains an alumni network intended to keep families and graduates connected across Japan and globally, facilitating ongoing engagement with the NIC community. Additional family-facing activities include private consultations and campus visits to discuss student wellbeing and career support. While NIC emphasizes family involvement, a separate PTA governance body is not listed in public materials.
