International College of Continuous Education (ICCE) in Kazakhstan offers an IB education with Primary Years Programme for grades 1–4 and Middle Years Programme for grades 5–10. It is a private, non-governmental institution licensed and IB-accredited for PYP and MYP. The college emphasizes Continuity in Education from kindergarten through higher education, a framework approved by the Ministry of Education. Since 1994 ICCE has partnered with the Oxford Baccalaureate for extended studies and summer language training, and later became a representative of the Oxford Baccalaureate in Central Asia, with graduates representing Kazakhstan in the Oxford IB. The IB pathway is reinforced by PYP Exhibitions and MYP assessments. Psychological and speech therapy services support students' social, emotional, and intellectual wellbeing with an individualized approach. The college maintains a favorable psychological climate through inclusive practices. Psychological and pedagogical consultations are held, and recommendations are developed for each student. Regular speech-therapy sessions are provided for primary students when needed.
Inclusive policy supports students with special educational needs. The college uses a three-level model of psychological and pedagogical support for inclusive education to address correction, adaptation, and socialization. Diagnostics determine students' knowledge, skills, and needs to tailor the educational approach. The aim is to create a psychologically comfortable learning environment and involve students in social activities to promote progress.
Kazakh is studied as the state language and Russian is the language of instruction. Russian as a foreign language is available to support students who need language development. English is taught as a foreign language. Languages policy emphasizes developing communicative skills and confidence in communication.
Psychological and speech therapy services promote mental wellbeing and a supportive emotional climate with an individualized approach. They provide psycho-pedagogical consultations to assess needs and develop tailored recommendations for each student. Regular sessions with a psychologist or speech therapist are available to support learners' wellbeing.
The safety system includes a security and fire alarm system and an emergency notification system. Forty video cameras monitor entrances, exits, adjacent territory, and areas where crowds gather to protect children during lessons and breaks. The facility is guarded around the clock by security personnel, and there is an alarm button to contact off-site security. The college trains students and staff in safety rules to foster a safety culture.
Step 1. Grade 1 enrollment is for children who have reached the age of 6 by September 1 of the current year. Children who will turn 6 by the end of the current calendar year may also be admitted to Grade 1 at the request of their parents or legal representatives. To enroll a child in Grade 1, submit: an application from the parents or legal representatives; a copy of the child's birth certificate; a health certificate (form No. 065u); a child's health passport (form No. 026/u-3); two photographs (3×4); and the child's IIN. The acceptance of applications begins on April 1 of the current year, and the enrollment order is issued after the agreement between the school and the parents or legal representatives.
