Opened in 1999, Miras International School Almaty was established under the Public Foundation ‘NNEF'. It is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization and accredited by the Council of International Schools. The Foundation, established in 1998, created three international schools—Miras Astana, Miras Almaty, and the International School of Almaty. Miras Almaty offers all three IB programmes: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. The school teaches in three languages: Kazakh, English and Russian, with support for French, Chinese and other languages.
Miras International School is an international community of students, teachers and parents, with representation from more than 20 countries. Miras International School Almaty is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme, alongside curriculum that integrates Kazakhstani standards. Serving students aged 3 to 18, school teaches in Kazakh, English and Russian, with English instruction continuing through Diploma Programme. The DP is taught in English, with six subjects across six groups and core requirements Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity and Service. End of Year 10 results include the IBMYP certificate via eAssessment.
