It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The school nurtures a caring and supportive environment which fully acknowledges the value and individual needs of all students and staff; it builds positive and respectful relationships between students, parents, staff and the wider community; and it promotes international and cross-cultural knowledge, interest, awareness and understanding.
The school provides special educational needs support through classroom-based teaching with additional support from a special needs teacher, should it be deemed necessary.
The school has limited provision for children who have no knowledge of the English language. Special oral and written tests may be used to determine proficiency in English. EYU and KS1 pupils are supported in mainstream classes; KS2 and KS3 beginners undergo an intensive English course for an hour a day for 10 weeks, with withdrawal from Literacy.
The health and well-being of pupils, guardians, staff, volunteers and the overall community is our highest concern, as reflected in the Remote Learning & COVID-19 Response.
All Braeburn Kisumu staff are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people at our school; a Safeguarding Policy applies to all adults, including volunteers, and there is a Complaints Policy and Procedures.
