BMIS offers Debate and Writing Club, MUN, and STEM as after‑school intellectual activities. STEM Club provides hands‑on engineering experiences, including building bridges and the Da Vinci bridge. The Strategy Society develops competitive thinking through games such as Blokus, Triangles, Chess and Connect 4. Bookworms Club promotes reading and library‑based activities.
Arts – Music, Drama, and Art are part of Beyond the Classroom; drama productions, regular musical concerts, talent shows and class assemblies occur several times a year. LAMDA is offered as an extra‑curricular activity to Years 3–11 and is taught by a qualified instructor. Peripatetic music teachers provide instruction in drums, piano, strings, brass and voice, with some students taking ABRSM examinations.
French is offered as an after‑school activity. The arts programme includes participation in local competitions such as art, poetry and drama.
BMIS offers a wide range of social and hobby clubs including Golf at Nyali Golf Club, Colour Me Happy, Construction Club, Bookworms Club, Colour Me Club, Football and Athletics, Jewellery Making, Cross Country, and Scouting. Football and Athletics are offered as after‑school activities, with emphasis on skill development and teamwork. Cross Country and Scouting activities promote endurance, teamwork and practical skills through regular sessions. Jewellery Making and Colour Me clubs provide creative outlets for students.
Scouting activities are offered, focusing on painting, basic first aid and drills, with plans to expand to hiking, camping and basic life survival skills; the program emphasizes teamwork and practical community‑oriented skills.

Braeburn Mombasa International School (BMIS) is a co‑educational international school in Kenya delivering British independent education with British and international curricula for learners aged 1 to 18. The curriculum is anchored in the UK National Curriculum, with the Early Years Foundation Stage underpinning the Early Years and the British National Curriculum guiding Primary and Secondary. Cambridge Secondary for Mathematics, English and Science is taught in Years 7–9, with Year 9 Checkpoint examinations, followed by IGCSE in Years 10–11. The Sixth Form offers a flexible programme combining A‑levels and BTEC to support university placement worldwide.
