1. Register Your Interest. Prospective families are encouraged to contact the Admissions Team to begin the process. The Admissions Team is available to guide applicants through the next steps and answer questions. The school welcomes students who live locally in Nairobi, those who live outside the city, and families moving to Kenya from elsewhere.
2. Application. Complete an Application Form with your child's school reports attached. Applications are submitted for the Karen Campus via brookhousekaren.openapply.com and for the Runda Campus via brookhouserunda.openapply.com. The submission initiates the formal admissions process.
3. Assessment / Taster Day. Kindergarten students are welcome to join a taster day and are assessed by the Head of the Kindergarten's section.
4. Interview. Year 3 to Year 12 / IFY students are invited to attend an interview with the Head of Year before meeting with the Headteacher.
5. Offer Letter. An offer letter is sent to parents and legal guardians.
6. Registration & Caution Money. A registration fee of 45,000 KSh per child applies. An additional caution money of 100,000 KSh is paid for day students and 200,000 KSh for boarding students.
7. Admission. Your child is admitted to Brookhouse School.
Nsouli Scholars Programme is a global initiative that promises to transform lives by enabling 50 extraordinary students at any one time to attend any Inspired school on a full scholarship for the duration of their education. The programme aims to expand the community and empower children of all backgrounds with opportunities in academics, sports, the arts and extracurricular activities. The endowment honours Nadim Nsouli, who founded Inspired in 2013, and scholarships are awarded to individuals of Lebanese origin. Brookhouse participates in the Nsouli Scholars Programme as part of the Inspired group.
Brookhouse Schools are private international day schools in Nairobi, Kenya, with premium on-site boarding at the Karen campus for boarders. The group operates two campuses, Karen and Runda, admitting pupils aged 1 to 18. The school delivers a UK curriculum across Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form, including IGCSE and A-Levels, with a BTEC qualification option. Brookhouse is fully accredited by Cambridge International Examinations, Edexcel and AQA to deliver the UK framework. Facilities span a 15-acre Karen site and the Runda campus, with an indoor sports centre, a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art performance theatre, modern performing arts studios and STEM laboratories; VR and the Metaverse are used to enrich learning. The school has a long history since 1981, is a Round Square member, and joined Inspired Education Group in 2015. Extracurriculars include drama, music and a broad sports programme, plus a house system with Amboseli, Mara, Samburu and Tsavo today.
