Tuition fees (per academic year, all amounts in EUR — lunch included)
- Primary (Classes 1–4): EUR 12,950.
- Secondary I & II (Classes 5–12): EUR 14,900.
- Toddler group (full day, 07:30–15:30): EUR 9,350.
- Toddler group (half day, 07:30–13:00): EUR 8,130.
- Kindergarten (full day, 07:30–15:30): EUR 8,850.

Enrolment / application fees
- One-off enrolment fee (non-refundable): First child EUR 1,000; second child EUR 800; any additional child EUR 400.
- Fee to place a child on the kindergarten waiting list: EUR 100 (if a place is offered this amount is credited to enrolment; otherwise non-refundable).

Deposit and membership
- Security deposit: EUR 1,000 per child — refundable after the child is de-registered and all outstanding dues are settled.
- Membership fee (mandatory): EUR 50 per parent/legal guardian per academic year (includes yearbook).

School bus fees (per academic year / per semester)
- Bus Zone 1 (Runda, Gigiri, Rosslyn, Horse Shoe, Nyari, New Muthaiga): EUR 930 per year / EUR 500 per semester.
- Bus Zone 2 (Lake View, Loresho, Westlands, Parklands, Muthaiga, Fourways, Five Star, Askari Lane, Kitusuru, Kyuna, Spring Valley, Bendera Lane): EUR 1,370 per year / EUR 720 per semester.
- Bus Zone 3 (Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Riara-Ngong Road, Yaya/Hurlingham, Hatheru Road, Gitanga Road, Riverside Drive, Raphta Road): EUR 1,600 per year / EUR 820 per semester.
- Bus routes and availability are zone-based and subject to availability; detailed route and enrolment information is provided through the school's transport channels.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- All fees are invoiced and charged in EUR. Proforma invoices are issued in June. Payment models available: annual payment due 31 August, or half-yearly payments due 31 August and 28 February. (Payments by quarter or semester can be arranged with written authorization from the accounts department.)
- Tuition, kindergarten and bus fees are generally due at the start of the school year (1 August) unless an alternative schedule has been agreed in writing. Non-payment may trigger reminder fees and may lead to exclusion from school activities or enrolment.
- If a child is deregistered, the deregistration period is six weeks after receipt of the written withdrawal notice. Outstanding statutory fee claims remain until a formal reduction or settlement decision is issued.

Other costs and additional fees
- All annual tuition figures quoted above include lunch; costs that are outside the school's compulsory services are charged in addition. Examples of additional costs that parents must pay separately include extra-curricular activities, optional courses, certain student workbooks or materials that the school purchases and issues, school trips and other optional services.
- Uniforms and school-shop purchases are separate costs and are handled via the school shop; these are not included in the tuition figures above and are payable by parents as required.

Refund information
- Enrolment/application fees are non-refundable. The kindergarten waiting-list fee is non-refundable unless credited to enrolment when a place is offered.
- The security deposit (EUR 1,000 per child) is refundable once the child is formally de-registered and all outstanding fees and obligations have been cleared. Transport fee reimbursement on deregistration follows the fee regulations and is handled according to the school's fee rules.
- There is no general exemption from paying for learning or teaching materials; applications for fee waivers or reductions must be submitted within the school's stated deadlines and are considered by the administration.

Fee payment instructions and options
- The school issues proforma invoices with payment instructions (currency, amounts and the account or payment details required). Payment deadlines and any authorized alternative instalment plans are shown on those invoices; arrangements for split payments by quarter or semester require written authorization from the accounts department.

The Deutsche Schule Nairobi is a German curriculum school for ages 1 to 18, with Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary divisions on campus in Gigiri, Nairobi, opposite Village Market. The school is affiliated with Germany and follows KMK standards for Sekundarstufe, enabling Hauptschulabschluss, Realschulabschluss and Deutsches Internationales Abitur. German is the language of instruction in all subjects, while Geography is taught in English and History is taught bilingually in German and English; French is introduced from Class 6 as a second foreign language. The curriculum develops linguistic competence in German and English, analytical thinking, scientific work, societal responsibility and cultural openness. The campus features classrooms, specialist rooms and facilities for sport, including a large field with a tribune, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, a heated swimming pool and five playgrounds. Solar energy provides electricity. After-school activities include STEM & Robotics, Junior Choir and Cooking Club. Its 50th anniversary was in 2019.
