Oshwal Academy Mombasa was established on Mombasa Island in 1968 by the Oshwal Education & Relief Board (OERB) to meet the need for quality secondary education in Mombasa. An accompanying Primary School was added in 1981 and moved to its own location in 1984. A modern 14-acre campus on a Nyali site opened in 2004, housing Kindergarten, Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form.
End-of-year events include the One World, Many Voices concert. Oshwal Academy Mombasa participated in interschool competitions such as the Craydel Cup 2025 (Team Soap Cycle) and the World Scholar's Cup Global Round in Doha, Qatar. A Learning Expo in 2025 celebrated student learning, innovation, and aspirations. Enrichment programs include Debate (Model United Nations and World Scholar's Cup) and charitable clubs PA Kenya and Interact Club in Senior School.
Oshwal Academy Mombasa is a premier K-12 institution on Mombasa Island, serving learners from age 2 to 18. The school follows the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) in Kindergarten, Cambridge Primary in Junior School, Cambridge Lower Secondary in Middle Years, and Cambridge IGCSE alongside AS and A Levels, with Pearson Edexcel IAL in Senior School. The 14‑acre Nyali campus opened in 2004 and hosts modern classrooms, advanced science laboratories, a library, and a lecture theatre, plus a Lego Room for creative exploration. Practical spaces include an infirmary, a canteen. A basketball/tennis court supports a broad sports program that runs from Kindergarten through Year 13, including cricket, netball, swimming. Co‑curricular activities cover Music, Drama, Art, ICT, Taekwondo, and Saturday options such as Skating and Lamda.
