The school offers Academic Support Programs, including peer tutoring, academic competitions, study groups, and shadow teaching. These programs build students' confidence in learning and develop their academic skills. The SABIS Student Life Organization integrates many academic activities into the weekly schedule to support student learning.
The Music Academy provides voice lessons and instruction on instruments such as violin, drums, piano, guitar, cello, and saxophone. Choir training is available for Grade 2 and above. The Arts and Crafts Club runs during SLO periods, and there is a Drama and Public Speaking Club. Dance is offered through a Contemporary Dance Club and a Ballet Club run by Royal Academy of Dance. Students showcase their talents at school events.
The school has French Club and German Club. It celebrates multiculturalism through International Day and other initiatives. The school community includes about 30 nationalities. Exposure to diverse cultures develops intercultural sensitivity and collaboration.
The school offers about 15 weekly activities, including arts and crafts, dance, ballet, chess, choir, debating, drama, film, IT, drumming, and science. Sports include badminton, basketball, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Additional clubs include Taekwondo, inline skating, swimming academy, and more. Students learn new skills, challenge themselves, and have fun.
The SABIS Student Life Organization runs Giving Back Initiatives, including Earth Day and Environment Week, tree planting at Kereita Forest, and fundraisers for local charities. Students have supported Mogra Children's Home and participated in campaigns to help others.
The SLO is a student-led mini-society at the heart of SABIS Runda and is integrated into the schedule via a weekly SLO period. Students organize academic and social events, host games and challenges, plan athletic activities, contribute to the Yearbook, start clubs, and raise awareness on important subjects. The program helps students develop leadership, problem-solving, sociability, critical thinking, organization, resilience, independence, empathy, communication, collaboration, teamwork, and accountability.
Sports and wellness are a core part of life at SABIS Runda. The Sports and Health Department runs staff-vs-student matches, intramural sports, and Sports & Health Day, promoting healthy lifestyles. Campaigns also promote a healthy lifestyle among students and staff.
Located on a 20-acre campus in Runda, SABIS International School – Runda delivers an education for ages 4 to 18. The school blends the SABIS curriculum with British and American frameworks, offering Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Levels, and Advanced Placement pathways. Students develop fluency in English, French, and Kiswahili, with a strong focus on English and mathematics and the sciences in secondary. The program integrates robotics, 3D printing, and web development, reinforced by the SABIS Learning Cycle and ongoing assessment via the SABIS Digital Platform. The 20-acre site includes a semi-Olympic pool, a large sports hall, outdoor tennis courts, and modern science labs, plus art and music spaces, and an ITL hall with 64 computers, and a multilingual library. Distinctive features include the SABIS Student Life Organization, giving students leadership and life-skills through service initiatives and a comprehensive learning experience. A boarding facility for up to 70 supports international families.
