The Aga Khan Academy Nairobi is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). The IB curriculum uses an inter-disciplinary approach to develop critical thinking, creativity and international-mindedness. The Senior School delivers the IB MYP for Grades 6–10 and the IB DP for Grades 11–12, with a focus on preparing students for higher education. DP graduates have achieved 32–34 points in recent years, and graduates gain admission to top universities globally and in Kenya.
The Academy's co-curricular programme includes athletics, visual arts and performing arts such as music and drama. In the Senior School, students may enrol in Film Studies, and the facilities include a drama and film studio.
