The Coast Academy has two sections, the Junior School (Playgroup to Year 6) and the Senior School (Year 7 to A level), located in Kizingo, Mombasa, and they are in close proximity to each other. The learning environment is conducive to learning, with an expansion programme underway to enhance existing facilities. The campus provides physical facilities and ICT equipment to support learning. We're proud to offer an array of extracurricular opportunities led by our faculty and staff, parent volunteers, and enrichment partners who are deeply committed to students' development beyond the classroom. Extracurricular activities strive to cultivate a sense of belonging, foster school spirit, and increase collaboration across grade levels. We offer after-school activities such as basketball, football, badminton, volleyball, athletics, dodgeball, netball, swimming, gymnastics, cricket and rounders. Participation in after-school activities helps students develop critical thinking, resilience, and social skills.
The Coast Academy is a Kenya-based school for ages 2 to 18, offering a Cambridge-based pathway from Kindergarten to A Level. The Primary phase covers Key Stage 1 for ages 5 to 7 and Key Stage 2 for ages 8 to 11, with SATs at end of Key Stage 1 and Cambridge Primary Checkpoint tests in Years 3 to 5. The Lower Secondary phase follows the British National Curriculum's Key Stage Three, preparing students for entry into IGCSE programme. The Senior School delivers Cambridge IGCSE pathway followed by A Levels, with Years 12 and 13 forming Sixth Form and pupils selecting four or five subjects in Year 12 and three in Year 13. The Coast Academy operates across two campuses in Kizingo, Mombasa—the Junior and Senior Schools—connected to support continuity and community. ICT-equipped facilities support learning, and an expansion programme enhances campus. Extracurriculars include a sport program and Model United Nations.
