The curriculum is based on the UK National Curriculum and adapted for the 21st-century Middle East, with Arabic for Arabs & non-Arabs, Islamic Studies, and Kuwait Social Studies. IBS offers IGCSE and A Levels through Edexcel and Cambridge International Examinations; in March 2019 the UK Government Inspectorate approved IBS to inspect British international schools; it is a member of the British Schools of the Middle East and a partner school with the British Council.
