The HIS community is organized to promote involvement through dedicated school committees. Active committees include the Activities Committee, Social Committee, Spatial Aesthetic Committee, Learning Resources Committee, Media Committee, Physical, Social, and Psychological Safety Committee, IT Committee, and the Parents' Council. The school emphasizes collaboration among parents, faculty, and staff, with a parent council elected to strengthen the bond and support shared decision making. The motto is Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
HIS has a Parents' Council (PC), a voluntary parent body elected by HIS parents every three years. The PC is composed of 9 members. The PC serves as an interface between parents and the HIS administration and addresses school-wide issues in line with HIS values. The PC holds monthly meetings with the School Principal to discuss general issues or specific concerns. The PC invites input from HIS parents regarding ideas, initiatives, concerns, queries, or thoughts. Contact for the PC is pc@his.edu.lb.
