The Collège Protestant Français is a private educational establishment under Lebanese law, governed by PPFL (Présence Protestante Française au Liban). Its legal personality is held by PPFL, which manages it in all material and financial matters. It is linked by a convention to AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) and its teaching is validated by the French Ministry of National Education. The Beirut campus has been operating since at least 1928, with Mlle Louise Wegmann serving as principal from 1928 to 1965. In 2019, PPFL expanded to Metn by acquiring Montana International College, which became Collège Protestant Français Metn. The CPF celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2026.
CPF Beirut offers a vibrant school life with activities and projects across sports, solidarity, sustainable development, and health. The Activités et Projets section includes EPS, Solidarité, EDD, Prévention, and other initiatives, and features student tournaments and events such as the centennial basketball tournament held on 15 January 2026 and activities like Halloween garden party, Octobre Rose (Pink October), and Pajama Day. Actualités include events such as Recréation musicale – 2e édition (11 February 2026) and L'Intégrale (10 February 2026), among others. These activities and events foster engagement among students, families, and staff and are part of the CPF life on campus.
The Parents Committee (comité des parents d'élèves) is elected every three years and represents parents to the Administration; the current term began on 1 January 2026, and the President is Dala Alayli with other members including Manar Axelle Abou Hassan and Hala Chaer (Secretary). Collège Protestant Français (CPF) is a private, AEFE-affiliated school in Lebanon with Beirut and Metn campuses, serving ages 2–18 under Lebanese law. It combines the French curriculum with IB World School sections and the BFI diploma, offered since 2023. The Beirut site dates to 1928; the Metn campus opened in 2019, and CPF celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2026. Students follow a trilingual framework (French, Arabic, English) from kindergarten, with Spanish from grade 4. Classrooms are equipped with digital tools such as interactive whiteboards, tablets and a workspace. Lycée (Seconde–Terminale) path provides orientation support and a tailored subject mix under the 2018 Bac reform. The Metn campus delivers the English IB World School program (PYP and DP) in a bilingual setting, while the French section delivers French curriculum. Facilities include a Library, Science Laboratories, and an Art Room, plus extracurriculars like Web Radio and solidarity projects, fostering global citizenship.
