Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Mr. Amine Michel Khoury founded Eastwood Schools in Lebanon in 1973. Eastwood College in Kafarshima started with 125 students and later grew to serve expatriates and locals; in 1985 Eastwood International School opened in Mansourieh. Eastwood expanded to offer the American High School Diploma alongside the Lebanese Baccalaureate Program and introduced the first Special Rights Program nationally, plus an English as a Foreign Language program. The schools have pursued international standards with global consultants, earned accreditations from AdvancED/Cognia, and implemented International Baccalaureate programs, marking a 50-year history.

Community

After-school Activities include Leadership, Mindfulness, Robotics, Photography, Theater, and a Study Clinic for extra academic support. Christmas Painting Events, Wellness Day, Cookie Decorations, Clay Night, and other parent-child activities, plus international celebrations such as International Day of Tolerance and Culture Day (EIS Tours the World), reinforce community. Friends of Eastwood School Foundation is a community of supporters dedicated to positive change in education.
