Introduction

Universa Via International School in Klaipėda, Lithuania, is a public, non-profit international day school serving students from about 2.5 to 15 years old. The curriculum combines the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme for kindergarten and Grades 1–4 with the Cambridge Primary program from Grade 5 onward. The IB PYP accreditation was achieved in 2020 and the secondary programme in 2023, reflecting a commitment to inquiry-based learning and rigorous assessment. In 2018 the school opened an English-taught class, and today around 15% of students come from abroad, creating a culturally diverse community. The institution originated in 1995 as Litorina, later becoming Universa Via tarptautinė mokykla in 2012 and, in Klaipėda, Universa Via as a public institution (VšĮ). The school serves about 165 students and offers a range of clubs across STEM, arts, and languages to enrich learning beyond the classroom. Families value its international perspective, bilingual opportunities, and community involvement locally.
