Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Fairview International School was initially founded in 1978 in Kuala Lumpur by a group of parents, originally offering IGCSE O Levels. Fairview KL became the flagship school of the expanded Fairview Network and was the first in Malaysia to offer the full International Baccalaureate continuum from Primary Years to Diploma Programme. The broader Fairview Network has since grown to include six international schools and a university college, with Fairview International PLC joining the London Stock Exchange in 2024.

Community

The Kuala Lumpur campus fosters a diverse and vibrant community, welcoming students from various nationalities. The school regularly hosts open days and events, providing opportunities for prospective families to visit, interact with staff and students, and experience the school's atmosphere. Cultural events are also part of the curriculum, with trips designed to help students appreciate diverse environments, traditions, and cultures.

Parent-Teacher Association

While specific details about the Fairview Kuala Lumpur PTA's named events or groups are not publicly available, the school values parent involvement. Parents are typically encouraged to volunteer and participate in activities that enrich the students' learning experience and foster a supportive school environment.
