Highlands International Boarding School (HIBS) is situated in the serene Genting Highlands, approximately 50 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Established in 1999, HIBS offers the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum for students aged 11 to 18. The school's location at 3,000 feet above sea level provides a cool climate conducive to learning. HIBS accommodates both boarding and day students, with about 60% residing on campus. Boarding facilities include separate halls for boys and girls, each equipped with study rooms, computer labs, and medical bays. A distinctive feature of HIBS is its HI-BLEND program, a blended learning approach for Years 7 to 9, combining 17 days of virtual learning with 3 days of on-campus classes and extracurricular activities. The campus boasts facilities such as science and computer labs, a library, a gym, a swimming pool, and courts for various sports. Students are encouraged to participate in at least two extracurricular activities per term, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.
