Facilities Overview

IISM Gombak is equipped with a well-equipped library, computer and science laboratories, a swimming pool, and air-conditioned classrooms. The school offers primary and secondary education and operates as a Cambridge International Examinations centre for the Klang Valley. It provides Tahfeez and Arabic classes, and the Hikmah programme to develop thinking skills. The school emphasizes holistic education aligned with Islamic tenets and values.

Sports Facilities

Co-Curricular Activities include sports such as football, basketball, chess, table tennis, karate, taekwondo, badminton, and netball. The program also includes clubs and societies covering areas such as the Malaysian Nature Society, performing arts, public speaking, editorial, art and craft, mass communications, percussion, and living skills. Special programs include archery (Saad Abi Waqqas Archery Club) and robotics. Uniform units and other extra-curricular activities are offered to support holistic development. Kickabola Academy is available for Grade 3-6.

Academic Facilities

Primary: Grade 1 to Grade 6 with Intensive English Programmes; Cambridge Primary Checkpoint; Cambridge ICT Starters. Secondary: Grade 7 to 11 with Intensive English Programmes; Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) / O-Levels. A-levels are offered with Cambridge International A-Levels. Tahfeez and Arabic classes, along with the Hikmah Programme, support Islamic and cognitive development. The school also functions as a Cambridge Examinations Centre serving candidates from other Klang Valley schools.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Co-Curricular Activities include sports and games, clubs and societies, uniform units, and extra co-curricular activities. International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM) in Gombak delivers the Cambridge pathway from Primary through Secondary and A-Levels. Primary covers Key Stages 1–2 with English as First Language, Mathematics, Science, Arabic, Malay, Islamic Studies, Quran, PE with compulsory swimming, arts and Cambridge ICT certification. Secondary subject groups include First Language English/ESL, Additional Mathematics or Business Studies, sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Arabic, Malay and French, ICT and PE, alongside clubs, sports and a Uniform Unit. The school is a CAIE examination centre (since 2000) and publishes detailed fees, payment options and timelines. Boarding is offered via on-campus student accommodation for both male and female students, and the school shares a vetted list of third-party bus operators for transport.
