Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Submit your application and fee. Parents can apply online or in-person by sending a completed application form and necessary documents to the admissions email.
Complete the admissions assessment. For students applying to Nursery and Reception, this involves an interview with an admissions staff member or Kindergarten teacher. Applicants for Year 1 to Year 5 will undergo an assessment test in Mathematics and English, followed by an interview.
Receive offer and confirm enrolment. Once the admissions assessment is successfully completed and the application fee is paid, the school will issue an Offer Letter. There is generally no set deadline for registration, and students can join after the academic year begins for most year levels, although some restrictions may apply for IGCSE and A-Level students to ensure preparedness for examinations.
KGIS does not operate a waitlist system. Students are generally able to join at various points throughout the academic year, provided their admission is approved by the principal.
KGIS offers scholarship opportunities to eligible students, including the Kingsgate Edusave Bursary Awards and various merit-based scholarships.
The Kingsgate Edusave Bursary Awards, launched in April 2023, are available for students in Years 7 to 10 and offer a 10-50% discount on tuition fees, with a tenure of one to five years based on both merit and demonstrated financial need. Selection for these bursaries is determined by the KGIS Bursary Board, considering academic reports, co-curricular achievements, and parental income tax returns.
The school also offers scholarships for academic excellence, sports, and arts, generally open to students aged 7-16 years. These require high academic achievement, English fluency, active participation in co-curricular activities, good communication skills, and leadership attributes, along with an interview and entrance tests.
Kingsgate International School provides a British curriculum covering Early Years Foundation Stage through to Cambridge IGCSEs and A-Levels for students aged 2 to 18. Notable facilities include dedicated Innovation Labs, science labs, a swimming pool, basketball court, and a sports field. A distinctive program is its partnership with SMLab for a comprehensive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiative. This collaboration offers students practical, hands-on projects, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world applications.
