Mont'Kiara International School (M'KIS) opened on August 20, 1994, in the developing suburb of Mont Kiara. It began with a small cohort of students and teachers and celebrated its first graduating class in 2001. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and authorized to offer the full suite of International Baccalaureate (IB) programs: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP) . M'KIS is privately owned and operated by Mont'Kiara International School Sdn Bhd .

Community

M'KIS fosters a diverse and inclusive community, celebrating various cultural events such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, and Deepavali. The school emphasizes environmental sustainability, with initiatives like the Green Club, which contributed to M'KIS receiving the Bronze Eco-School Award from WWF .
