Admissions

Step 1 ENQUIRY: Please click the enquiry form link or scan the QR Code at the school and fill in the form. The Marketing and Admissions Department will contact you to arrange a school tour and consultation and to help you complete the Enquiry Form for the next step, Assessment and Interview. The non-refundable Assessment Fee must be paid, and proof of payment submitted by email or in person. Payment can be made in cash, by cheque or bank draft, or by bank transfer. Step 2 ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEW: Applicants are scheduled for an assessment after the enquiry form is completed and the assessment fee paid. The assessment content varies by year group and may include a meeting with a member of the academic staff to determine placement and educational needs. After the initial assessment and interview there is a personal interview with the school principal to assess overall suitability. Step 3 ENROLMENT: If the application is successful, a Letter of Offer is issued. To accept the offer, payment of the required fees stated in the Letter of Offer must be paid before the expiry date. The completed Admission Kit and all Supporting Documents must be submitted before enrolment, and Registration Fee and Deposit must be paid before enrolment. The Admission Checklist includes documentation such as the Application for Admission Form, Health Record Form, Deposit Refund Consent Letter, Model and Testimonial Release Form, 1x birth certificate or passport or IC, 1x most recent school report and leaving certificate, passport sized photographs for the student and for both parents, Guardian's Letter of Appointment if applicable, a non-refundable Registration Fee, and a refundable Deposit.

Scholarships

TAGS Scholarship is funded by REAL Schools shareholders and was established in 2021 in collaboration with REAL Schools to provide high-potential deserving students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to pursue and complete secondary education at REAL National Schools in Cheras or Shah Alam. The scholarship offers a full tuition from Form 1 to Form 5, extra-curricular activities fees, meals and transportation allowances, and books, stationery and uniform. Eligible applicants are Malaysian current standard 6 students with an excellent academic record, strong leadership qualities, and active involvement in cocurricular and/or volunteering activities, with priority given to low income households and high needs backgrounds. Scholarship Timeline includes Application Period November–December 2023, School assessment and interview in January 2024, notification of successful candidates in February 2024, and Scholars beginning Form 1 in 2024. Scholars study at REAL Schools Shah Alam Campus and benefit from a Malaysian National Curriculum education and the 1-to-1 Apple iPad learning programme.
