St. John’s International Secondary School follows the Cambridge curriculum pathway. Students in Lower Secondary (Years 7–9) study a broad range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Geography, History, Malay, and Mandarin, with an English Support Programme (ESP) available for those strengthening their language skills. In Upper Secondary (Years 10–11), students prepare for the Cambridge IGCSE, choosing from a mix of core and elective subjects. After completing IGCSE, students may progress to Cambridge A Levels (Sixth Form), where they select three to four subjects in preparation for university entry. Instruction is delivered in English, with Malay and Mandarin also offered as part of the curriculum. The school is formally registered with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) to deliver these qualifications.
Located in central Kuala Lumpur beside the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, St. John’s International Secondary School educates students aged 11 to 18. The school provides a clear academic progression through the Cambridge curriculum, starting with Lower Secondary, leading to IGCSE examinations, and culminating in the A-Level programme for university entrance. The school's facilities support this curriculum with science labs, a library, and various sports courts. Distinct from many international schools, St. John's continues the long-standing educational mission of the De La Salle Brothers in Malaysia. This is evident in its focus on character building and service, with co-curricular options like the Interact Club and St. John Ambulance. The school also offers specialised clubs such as Debate and Drone Technology, preparing students for varied post-secondary pathways.
