UUM International School Melaka (UUMISM) was founded in 2018 as the first international school in Malaysia established by a Korean national. It is owned by UUM Leads Sdn Bhd and managed by Traveljoy Sdn Bhd alongside MK Edu Sdn Bhd. The school received approval from the Malaysian Ministry of Education and is formally affiliated with Universiti Utara Malaysia in Kedah. Since opening, it has operated as a secondary Cambridge IGCSE school integrated within the Ayer Keroh Country Club campus.
UUMISM maintains an active school community through regular events shared across its website and social channels. These include arts and STEM activities, such as a Year 7–10 Arts & Crafts class and participation in Multimedia University’s STEM Carnival. The school also hosts larger celebrations, like Malaysia Day. Additionally, career development is supported through multi-day Career Day gatherings and global youth initiatives
UUMISM conducts a Parent–Teacher Conference (PTC) twice a year, held in the school hall and attended by parents, teachers, and school leaders to discuss student progress. The school appears to engage parents in school life through similar gatherings, though it does not publicly list a formal PTA committee or recurring PTA meetings.
