Wesley Methodist School Ipoh was officially launched in 2009 with Ms. Goh Kai Lian as the founding principal. In 2010, the primary school division was introduced, followed by rebranding in 2012 as part of the wider Wesley Methodist Schools network. WMSI became an international school in 2016. Since then, the school has undertaken infrastructure upgrades (2021) and launched Project Canaan (2022), a new facilities initiative. In 2024, it marked its 100th anniversary of school heritage and hope.
The school fosters a strong Christian‑focused community, integrating chapel services, Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade programmes, and character formation into daily life.
