Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Registering your child is the first step toward joining San Andrea School. The Admissions Team guides you through each stage and keeps you informed of progress and any additional requirements. It is recommended to register as early as possible to secure a place. 2. Documents required include an original birth certificate (translated into English if not in English) and I.D./Passports of both parents. Vaccination records must be provided (translated into English). Latest school reports and any psychological reports are needed, along with a head's reference letter from the previous school for middle and senior admissions. A residence permit and/or lease or purchase documents in Malta may be required, and all forms must be endorsed by both parents. 3. Applications operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with siblings' preference in the year of birth. The process is subject to space within the relevant entry level. Applicants who complete the registration are enrolled in the school, subject to space. 4. If classes are full, applicants are placed on a waiting list. The waiting list remains until a place becomes available. When a place becomes available, the registrations department contacts the parents to arrange enrollment. 5. Registrations and acceptances will not be processed unless all forms and documents are endorsed by both parents. Any concerns should be disclosed and discussed with the head of school and the designated personnel prior to registration. This helps address needs before formal enrollment.

Waitlist

Applicants are placed on a waiting list once all classes have reached capacity. When a place becomes available, the registrations department contacts the parents to arrange enrollment.

The Senior Sector (Grade 8–12) comprises Departments of Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities, Languages (Maltese, English, Italian and French), two ICT suites, and Practical Subjects (PE, Drama, Art, Home Economics). Maltese as a Foreign Language is offered for non‑Maltese nationals. Founded in 1992 by the Parents' Foundation for Education, the school now operates three sector buildings in Naxxar. Facilities include science and computer labs, a library, dedicated drama and music rooms, and a Senior School Multipurpose Hall. An extracurricular programme supports Nursery to Grade 11, including a Student Council and wellbeing services.
