Drama and Music are taught as subjects in the Middle Sector. There are dedicated rooms for Drama and for Music. Drama and Music are part of the curriculum.
The Maltese as a Foreign Language (MFL) Programme targets non-Maltese nationals or Maltese nationals recently returned from living overseas. The MFL Programme takes place at the same time as mainstream Maltese classes and is taught twice weekly. Pupil progress is continuously assessed throughout the year, with an end-of-year examination in June. Italian is taught in Grade 7.
Lunch break activities are provided by the school. The breaks are designed to be enjoyable and educational. Participation in lunch break activities is encouraged.
The school has a Student Council. Student Council Members include leaders with titles such as Captain and Vice-Captain. Members come from multiple grade levels. The Student Council Members include a Captain.
The school has a Well-Being Team and a School Nurse. There are three part-time school nurses. The nurses provide first aid, support students with chronic conditions, and administer medications. They also promote health education and wellbeing across the school.
San Andrea School is an independent, co‑educational Maltese school for ages 2 to 16, offering a bespoke curriculum from Pre‑Nursery to Grade 12. The Early Sector provides bilingual instruction in English and Maltese with both languages taught equally. From Grade 2, learning follows the National Curriculum Framework through a thematic, project‑based approach. The Middle Sector (Grades 4–7) covers English, Maltese, Mathematics, Religion, Science, Environmental Studies, and practical subjects such as Art, Drama, Music, PSCD, Physical Education, Library Skills, ICT (Grade 5–7) and Italian from Grade 7. The Senior Sector (Grade 8–12) comprises Departments of Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities, Languages (Maltese, English, Italian and French), two ICT suites, and Practical Subjects (PE, Drama, Art, Home Economics). Maltese as a Foreign Language is offered for non‑Maltese nationals. Founded in 1992 by the Parents' Foundation for Education, the school now operates three sector buildings in Naxxar. Facilities include science and computer labs, a library, dedicated drama and music rooms, and a Senior School Multipurpose Hall. An extracurricular programme supports Nursery to Grade 11, including a Student Council and wellbeing services.
