The school building is adjacent to Cascavelle Shopping Mall on Flic en Flac Road, Cascavelle, Mauritius. Access is via the extension linking Cascavelle Shopping Mall to Flic en Flac Road. A multi-purpose hall will be added in the final construction phase for dramatics, music, debates and indoor sports, as well as assemblies, examinations and award ceremonies.
The school provides an outdoor basketball court, a football field, volleyball and table tennis facilities. A multipurpose hall is planned for a future construction phase. The school has a partnership with Unicity Sports, Recreation and Aquatic Centre, giving students access to a 50 m Olympic pool, tennis courts, football and rugby fields, a running track and gym facilities, all at walking distance from the school.
English is the language of learning and communication in all classes, with French taught as the second language. The Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum (CLS) is followed for Forms 1–3, offering English, Mathematics and Science and including the Cambridge Checkpoint assessment at the end of Form 3. In Forms 4–5, learners pursue the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) was authorised in 2019 and first graduates completed in 2021. The IB, CLS and IGCSE learner profiles guide the school's approach to learning, aiming to develop intercultural understanding and lifelong learning.
CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme, with Pre-CAS in lower secondary and participation in the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award. Bronze was introduced in 2018, Silver in 2019, and Gold in 2023, with a Gold Adventurous Journey completed in 2025; the school is an official Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre. Students also participate in sports and other activities; Westcoast Wolves represent the school in intercollegiate competitions in cross country, swimming and athletics, with events such as Swimming Gala, Sports Day and Cross Country throughout the year.
Westcoast International Secondary School (WISS) is Mauritius' west coast English‑medium private secondary school and part of Uniciti Education Hub. It offers Cambridge Lower Secondary (CLS) for Forms 1–3 with Cambridge Checkpoint at the end of Form 3, followed by Cambridge IGCSE in Forms 4–5. The school is an IB World School authorised to implement the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP); the first DP cohort graduated in 2021. English is the language of learning, with French taught as a second language. WISS serves students aged 11 to 18 in small classes of up to 25, emphasising individual attention. Facilities include outdoor basketball, football, volleyball and table tennis courts, plus a 50‑metre pool, tennis and gym facilities through a partnership with Unicity Sports Centre.
