SEL is at the heart of Academia Internacional. Programs are designed to support social and emotional development and the school views SEL as essential to becoming a whole learner. The school provides a foundation for safe and positive learning and aims to help students succeed in school and life. Students learn to know and manage themselves, understand the perspectives of others, and relate effectively with others. They make sound choices about personal and social decisions. The approach promotes resilience, confidence to speak up, and collaboration, helping students connect with their community.
The curriculum is bilingual in the primary years with more intensive instruction in English through middle school. Language Certifications are internationally recognized and certify language proficiency and communicative competence, issued by an accredited institution. Certifications are based on the Common European Framework, a reference framework used by many institutions worldwide.
Mental wellbeing is supported through SEL programs designed to develop emotional, social, and personal skills. The programs emphasize self-awareness, empathy, and responsible decision-making to help students navigate school and life. Students gain confidence to speak up, participate, and collaborate, while the school environment supports individual development and connection with others. These practices aim to foster a sense of belonging and resilience.
